A growing community

Colwood is a spectacular seaside community set apart by its outstanding natural setting and exceptional quality of life.

Development on the horizon will be focused primarily at Colwood Corners and Royal Bay, and along the Sooke Road transit corridor. Many new homes of all form factors are anticipated, including the development of Beachlands into a truly regional destination!

Goals

  1. Colwood's waterfront is a stewarded, world-class destination for residents and visitors alike.

  2. People and nature are exceptionally well connected in Colwood.

  3. Colwood residents have realistic transportation choices

  4. Our children will be able to live in their community, and our seniors age in place in a wide variety of new housing.

LEADING BC IN AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION TO THE DOCTORS SHORTAGE

Leading to a second consecutive Candy Cane Award from Grumpy Taxpayers!

The top prize goes to Colwood council for recognizing a critical health need in the community and starting up a medical clinic. City of Colwood will lease and manage the Colwood Medical Clinic with a goal of recruiting and employing eight doctors to service as many as 10,000 residents.

“Council stepped into a void left when the province failed to deliver on its responsibilities and is set to open a medical clinic in 2025,” chair John Treleaven said. “The well-being of their residents is one of their top priorities, and in our view, defensible even though it's normally outside their role as a municipality.”

Speaking

Practical Real-World Experience

Experienced business leader, volunteer, coach and teammate

"It is my goal to leverage my education, experience and community-centric approach to act in a manner that considers the needs of all Colwood stakeholders. I believe that it is the mandate of City Council to outline the vision with developers and the development community, and to work in tandem with them to ensure we grow for tomorrow. We also need leadership with an appetite to find innovative and new ways to extract maximum value for the benefit of residents and taxpayers. Collaboration with regional and higher levels of government, private/public partnerships, and new ways of thinking to address such issues as deficient infrastructure, accessibility, physician shortages and traffic/safety."

If elected I will:
